ONE PIECE Card Game – Pull Rates & Hit Rates of the Japanese Edition

ONE PIECE Card Game – Pull Rates & Hitrates der japanischen Edition - Cardcosmos
Status: August 2025 | cardcosmos

Those who collect or play the Japanese edition of the ONE PIECE Card Game are often interested in the pull rates (hit rates) – that is, the probabilities with which certain Rares are contained in Boosters, Booster Displays, and Sealed Cases. In this article, we summarize the community experiences and unofficial probabilities. Bandai does not officially publish exact odds.

1. Rarities in the ONE PIECE Card Game

  • R / SR – regular and Super Rare cards
  • SEC – Secret Rares
  • Leader & Leader Parallels
  • Parallels – alternative artworks or frames
  • Manga Rare – extremely rare, collector highlight

2. Pull rates per Booster Display (24 Booster packs)

Note: These figures are community experience values and vary depending on the set and production batch.
Rarity Average per Booster Display Note
SR 4–5 cards relatively constant
SEC 0–1 card about every 2nd–3rd Booster Display
Parallels 1–2 cards including Leader Parallels
Manga Rare almost never expected more on a case basis

3. Pull rates per Sealed Case (12 Booster Displays)

When buying a complete Sealed Case (12 Booster Displays), the following trends emerge:

Rarity Average per Sealed Case Note
SR approx. 50 cards Total across all Booster Displays
SEC 4–6 cards not guaranteed to be evenly distributed
Parallels 14–20 cards including various variants
Manga Rare 0–1 card sometimes 2, sometimes none

4. Calculating probabilities

The probability of drawing at least one specific card or Rare from n opened Boosters can be roughly estimated with the following formula:

P(≥1 hit) = 1 - (1 - p)^n

  • Example: hit chance per Booster = 5% (p = 0.05)
  • With 24 Boosters (1 Booster Display): 1 - 0.95^24 ≈ 70%
  • With 288 Boosters (1 Sealed Case): mathematically almost 100% (no guarantee in practice)

5. Tips for Collectors & Buyers

  • Search specifically for single cards if only a certain Rare is needed.
  • Booster Displays are worthwhile to get a broad mix of Rares.
  • Sealed Cases increase the chances of a Manga Rare – but are not a guarantee.
  • Community reports on the latest sets provide valuable clues about deviations.
